The Girthy Boi Update (1.1.0.)


Hoo boy, it sure does feel great to put this out. It's been hard, but I finally released an update, and a big one at that. This might be it for the game, due to my program subscription ending soon, so at least it's something big to send it off with. Anyway, here's the specifics:


=====New Content=====

-Added a main menu that features a start button and an about section

-Added a whole new second level, with cool new stuff to play with. This new level is much larger and less boring than the 1st one.

-Added a new weapon, the Rocket Launcher, which instantly destroys Larries and doors, but only has one bullet per mag, so make it count!

-Added a shield ability, which when picked up, can be activated with right click. This shield can block bullets from enemies, like the...

-Added new hazard: the Wall Turret, which fires in a straight line when a player gets in their line of sight. Bullets can be blocked with the shield.

-Added new hazard: the Wall Laser, which periodically shoots lasers that deal massive damage to the player

-Added new hazard: Broken Blast Doors, which must be hit with the new weapon to be destroyed

=====Fixes/Improvements=====

-Tank now makes a sound effect when you die

-Many sound effects scale in volume with distance from the player (meaning they get quieter the farther away they are, etc.)

-Many things have been cool graphical effects to make them more interesting to look at (like the goal and the bullet spark)

-🦀Tilemap2 is gone!🦀 (Only important to dev, ignore this)

There is probably a huge amount of stuff that I forgot, but I've been working on this update forever, and I haven't been recording every change. If you can think of something I left out, comment, I guess.
